​Shelley & Teesha invite you to enter into the cave of your heart in this yoga retreat during the full moon in March. As spring equinox approaches, we will join together to practice igniting the potentials that are contained within the seed of who we are. In a safe space, we will unpack the hidden messages of the heart which yearns to deeply rest, dwell, linger in the secret cave of hibernation and stillness a little longer...Emerge from winter's sleep, with the body renewed & the subtle senses tuned into what fosters growth in the year ahead.

Retreat is a time to allow the flavour of our longing, for that which we do not know...yet, to simmer. Entice the mysterious heart's desire to become alive. Retreat is to withdraw from habitual patterns of ordinary life & engage in yogic practices. Providing the opportunity to see more clearly, the entanglement of our confusions or knots that hold a grip upon our mind and emotions. What is revealed is often a form of deep yearning to know who we are. This retreat aims to allow & accept the original shape of our longing to rest in both movement and stillness. Resting in the unknown is opening to the present moment, where spontaneity and our essence lives fully with 'effortless effort.'

What's included

You will experience 2 cosy nights in nature's sanctuary of sound & peace.

Provided with nutritious food & good company.

Asana, pranayama, meditation, self-reflective journaling, and a special art session to create a nature self-portrait.

Space to rest, slow down & group interactions with a unique gathering around a fire.

Option to book private 1:1 sessions with Teesha or Shelley during free time.

Option to book a sauna at Xenia at your own expense. 

Time to explore the surrounding nature, labyrinth, old growth trees, ocean or Bowen Island's village.

Friday March 14 - Full Moon

- Welcome & nest in your cosy accommodations, snack provided, enjoy a nature walk or book a sauna  3-5 PM

- Yoga Asana Class: Focus on Grounding Hip-openers & Inversions w/ Shelley & Teesha 5-6 PM

- Homemade Ayurveda Indian Dinner with a focus on soothing the Vata Dosha (wind energy) 6-7:30 PM

 

- Full Moon Fire Ceremony to burn obstacles and to enter into the cave of our heart's longing - Intentional Yajna Fire Ceremony w/ Shelley & Teesha 8-9 PM (may last longer depending upon group's energy ;)

Saturday March 15 - Full Moon Day

- Silent Early Morning Tea/Coffee with snacks & Journal Exercise given the evening before 7-8 AM

- Yoga Asana-Pranayama-Meditation w/ Shelley 8-10:30 AM

- Nutritious Brunch with Friends 10:30-11:30 AM

- Free Space to walk in nature, read, hike, explore Island/ocean/Bowen Village, sleep or book a sauna or private 1:1 with either Teesha or Shelley 12-4 PM

- Mindfulness & Gentle Movement w/Teesha 4-5 PM

- Gorgeous Dinner 5:30-7 PM 

- Nature Self-Portrait Art Piece 7:30-9:00 PM

Sunday March 16 - Waning Moon Day

- Silent Early Morning Tea/Coffee with snacks & Journal Exercise given the evening before 7-8 AM

- Yoga Asana-Pranayama-Meditation w/ Shelley 8-10:30 AM

- Nutritious Brunch with Friends 10:30-11:30 AM

- Check out of cottage accommodations by 12 Noon

 

- Free Space to walk in nature, read, hike, explore Island/ocean/Bowen Village, read or connect with friends, book a sauna or private 1:1 with either Teesha or Shelley 12-1:30 PM

- Closing Group Work on how to sustain awareness of the heart's truth w/Shelley & Teesha 1:30-2:30 PM

- Exit Xenia and Board Ferry Home 3 PM ​​​​

Introducing, Teesha Behl 500-Hr RYT

Teesha Behl is a certified 500-hour yoga teacher with a deep passion for helping others reconnect with themselves through movement and mindfulness. With extensive training in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga, Teesha brings a balanced approach to the practice, blending strength, flexibility, and relaxation.

In addition to her yoga expertise, Teesha has a background in social-emotional learning, mindfulness, and breathwork, making her teaching holistic and centered on personal growth. Her retreats are designed to be a sanctuary where participants can turn inward, connect deeply with their inner selves, and nourish their minds and bodies in a supportive, nurturing environment. Through gentle guidance and tailored practices, Teesha helps participants unlock a sense of peace, clarity, and self-awareness, leaving them feeling refreshed and revitalized.
